Warsaw Federal, an independent mutual bank in Cincinnati Ohio, today announces that Sam J. DeBonis has been appointed the President & CEO.
DeBonis, a longtime Cincinnati banking veteran, assumed the role effective April 30. Throughout his more than 20-year career in banking, he has focused on helping business customers thrive, most recently as a vice president at Park National Bank.
“Sam brings extensive commercial banking expertise to Warsaw Federal, as well as a leadership focus that will help us continue to put customers and community at the forefront of all we do,” said Richard T. Flynn, chairman of the board for Warsaw Federal.

Prior to Park National Bank, DeBonis was a commercial portfolio analyst at Provident Bank in Cincinnati. He began his professional life as a teacher, before moving to banking.
DeBonis has a bachelor’s degree in education from Ohio University and a master’s degree in accountancy from Northern Kentucky University. He serves on the board of trustees for Clermont Senior Services, where he was board chair from 2016-18. He also serves on the board of directors for the Clermont County Port Authority, CASA for Clermont Kids and on the finance committee at St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Withamsville.
