Thomas J. Fraser

Thomas J. Fraser | CEO, FMHC
Tom is CEO of First Mutual Holding Co., the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank.
Tom was president and CEO of First Federal Lakewood until 2018 and also served as EVP/COO and Chief Lending Officer for the bank. He has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to his tenure with First Federal Lakewood, he was senior vice president of Westfield Bank. He also held positions of increasing responsibility with the former National City Bank and was a consultant and senior analyst with Andersen Consulting.
Tom holds both a master’s degree and a bachelor’s degree from John Carroll University.
As a seasoned financial services leader, Tom can provide insight and expertise across the banking landscape, including: executive strategy, operations, compliance, product development, sales, community banking, and mutuality.
Paul V. Capka

Paul is Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer First Mutual Holding Co. the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank.
Paul’s executive leadership role encompasses several areas, with his primary responsibility being to oversee credit and legal functions across FMHC. He also provides oversight of legal, risk, compliance and various operational matters at First Federal Lakewood.
Paul joined First Federal Lakewood in 2009 as Vice President before assuming his current role. Previously, he held leadership positions for several publicly traded companies, has actively practiced law, and has also worked in the non-profit sector.
He is involved in a number of community activities, including board membership on the Westerly, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Foundation, and is a member of the Rocky River Planning Commission. Paul holds a joint Law and Masters of Planning degree from Cleveland State University and a bachelor’s degree from Miami University.
Kathleen A. Dockery

Kathy leads the enterprise IT division, including IT service delivery, enterprise systems, business intelligence and digital strategy. As Senior Vice President and Chief Information officer, she focuses on delivering technology business solutions in partnership with key business units and affiliate banks to enable growth objectives, drive agility and improve the employee and customer experience.
She joined FMHC in June 2021 from Fifth Third Bank where she served as a Technology Director. Before joining Fifth Third, Kathy was with Key Bank for over 20 years, serving in technology roles of increasing responsibility, including leading the development of a Digital Business Automation Center of Excellence.
Kathy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Development from Baldwin Wallace University, an associate degree in Computer Science and completed the Women in Stem Leadership Program at Case Western Reserve University. She shares her passion for IT through her involvement with several national and local Women in Technology organizations.
Debra Kaput

Debra Kaput is Senior Vice President, Chief of Staff at First Mutual Holding Co., the largest depositor-owned, no-stock mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank.
In her role as Chief of Staff, Debra is focused on bank culture and bringing the employee and customer experiences together. She has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of human resource strategy, talent management, organization development, leadership development and employee engagement.
Prior to joining First Mutual Holding Co., Debra was SVP, Chief Human Resources Officer at First Federal Lakewood, the largest depositor-owned community bank headquartered in Ohio. She was also SVP, Director Talent Management and Development at Fifth Third Bank, Executive Vice President and Director, Talent Management at KeyBank and Executive Vice President and Director, Human Resources at KeyBank.
Debra received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from John Carroll University and is a Georgetown University certified Leadership and Executive Coach.
Brian J. Pinkerton

Brian brings more than 20 years of executive banking experience to his role as Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer at First Mutual Holding Co. (FMHC). As an executive leader, Brian holds responsibility for governance, risk, compliance, and internal audit practices that support the business strategies of the holding company and its affiliate banks while effectively and proactively managing risk.
Brian joined First Federal Lakewood in 2016 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Governance & Risk Officer before transitioning to the same role with FMHC in 2018. Prior to First Federal Lakewood, he was Vice President, Wealth Chief Risk Officer at FirstMerit Corporation (now a part of Huntington Bank) before his promotion to Senior Vice President, Enterprise Risk Director. He has also held positions of increasing responsibility in risk, compliance and audit at KeyBank and National City Bank (now a part of PNC).
Brian earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Youngstown State University and a Master of Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University. He is an alumnus of Stonier Graduate School of Banking and is actively involved in the community by serving on the Wadsworth City Schools Business Advisory Council and volunteering for the Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity

Jen is the Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at First Mutual Holding Co., the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank.
In this role, Jen provides strategic direction for the formulation, communication, execution and sustainability of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives that support strategic imperatives, vision, mission and goals. She drives organizational change by focusing on people, partners and innovation, and forging new working relationships and synergies across the enterprise to execute on critical initiatives that support enterprise and bank strategic imperatives.
Jen joined First Federal Lakewood in 2013 as Vice President of Marketing and has held positions of increasing leadership with the bank and holding company. Prior to joining First Federal Lakewood, Jen was principal and co-owner of Ardent Communications Group, a strategic communications firm specializing in marketing, communications and public relations. She has also served in marketing and communications roles at KeyBank and several commercial real estate firms in Cleveland and Chicago.
Jen received a bachelor’s degree in organizational communications from Ohio University. She is a member of Women for Economic Leadership and Development (WELD) and is graduate of the Graduate School of Banking Human Resources Management school. Jen is involved in several community organizations, including having served on the board for Lakewood Catholic Academy for six years and as co-founder of LakewoodAlive Light Up Lakewood event.
David T. Shaw

Dave is Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary of First Mutual Holding Co., the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank. In this role, he oversees deposit operations and facilities, and leads affiliation efforts for the holding company.
Dave was Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Secretary of First Federal Lakewood until 2018, when he transitioned to the same role with First Mutual Holding Co. Dave joined First Federal Lakewood in 1988 and held positions of increasing responsibility, including: Chief Savings Officer, Chief Security Officer and Vice President of Retail Banking. Prior to First Federal Lakewood, Dave held positions at Transohio Savings Bank and the former Citizens Federal Savings and Loan.
Dave received a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University and a Master of Business Administration degree in finance from Cleveland State University. He has also completed the acclaimed Academy for Financial Executives at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
With extensive financial services industry experience, Dave can provide expertise across many banking areas, including operations, mutuality, residential lending, human resources, sales and marketing, retail banking, and compliance.
Andy Shook

Andy Shook, CPA, CGMA, is SVP, Chief Financial Officer at First Mutual Holding Co., the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks including First Federal Lakewood and First Mutual Bank.
As Chief Financial Officer, Andy oversees the finance, accounting and secondary market functions of all affiliates within FMHC. His responsibilities include ensuring balance sheet management and profitability are aligned with strategic objectives, accuracy of internal and external financial reporting, and accounting policy and implementation.
Andy joined FMHC in June 2018 as Chief Accounting Officer and also held roles as Chief Risk Officer and SVP Finance prior to being named CFO. He was instrumental in designing the risk taxonomy used throughout FMHC to monitor and manage risk.
Prior to FMHC, Andy held a position at Crowe LLP, a global public accounting, consulting and technology firm. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA) designation.
Wendy Snodgrass

Wendy Snodgrass, CPA, CGMA, is SVP, Chief Internal Auditor at First Mutual Holding Co., (FMHC) the largest member-owned mutual holding company of its kind in Ohio, with affiliate banks in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and Virginia.
As Chief Internal Auditor, Wendy oversees the internal audit department within FMHC. Her responsibilities include executing the internal audit plan for FMHC and its affiliates, analyzing changes in the organization and maintaining the overall audit program.
Wendy started at First Federal Lakewood in 2012 as assistant controller. She then became controller of the residential lending division in 2016. In 2018, Wendy became the controller of FMHC, the holding company of First Federal Lakewood until transitioning to her current role as Chief Internal Auditor.
Prior to joining First Federal Lakewood, she held positions at several community banks in northeast Ohio including Lorain National Bank, Western Reserve Bank, Northern Savings & Loan and Premier Bank and Trust. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and holds a Chartered Global Management Accountant® (CGMA) designation.
Wendy is a member of the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Institute of Internal Auditors and is a graduate of Leadership Lorain County, Class of 2010.
Wendy received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo in business administration with a major in accounting.
