Paul Capka serves as Senior Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at First Federal Lakewood, where he is responsible for leading the bank’s credit strategy and overseeing risk management practices that support sustainable growth. In his role, he works closely with lending teams to ensure sound credit decisions that balance opportunity with prudent risk, while staying true to the values and mission of mutual banking.
With more than 20 years of experience across banking, law, and real estate development, Paul brings a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to his work. His background includes leadership roles in land acquisition and development with nationally recognized homebuilders, as well as serving as legal counsel and development director for a major neighborhood revitalization organization. This diverse expertise enables him to navigate complex financial landscapes, structure strategic deals, and guide credit policies that strengthen First Mutual Holding Co., its member institutions, and the communities they serve.
